Giveaway & Takeaway Day
Our next G&T Day will be held in Marnhull on Saturday 16th May. There will be a stand at the Village Hall and places around the village for depositing, displaying and collecting household items that can be reused. An easy way to recycle and reuse no longer required household belongings.

Reed Beds
Marnhull features natural reed beds within the Stour River valley, which contribute to the local landscape, alongside artificial reed beds at the Marnhull Water Recycling Centre (STW) used for sewage treatment and as natural filters (tertiary treatment) for wastewater. These wetlands provide habitat for local wildlife, including waterfowl, and are essential for environmental filtration.

Bere Marsh Farm, Shillingstone
We will visit the Countryside Restoration Trust (CRT) at Bere Marsh Farm. The visit will include a guided walk that will focus on wildflower identification and butterflies. Bere Marsh is situated between the meandering River Stour and the former Somerset & Dorset railways, close to the village of Shillingstone in the Blackmore Vale area of North Dorset.
